The barn is ready for the season!

We are thrilled that the apple barn is taking shape! We spent many cold winter days staining board after board after board. We spent many hot summer days painting board after board after board.  It has been interesting having to work over 30 feet high to accomplish our vision. We cannot wait to share it with you!

  • Hello, I had heard there was a possibility that you may open your beautiful barn for hosting events. My son is getting married ( they’re thinking in 2018) and they were interested in a barn wedding. Would you be open to having a wedding ceremony at your barn and what would be the capasity ?       You heard correct! We are currently working through requirements for events/weddings with the Town of Erin. Once approved, we could begin reserving dates. We should know more by the end of the calendar year. We will save your contact information, but please watch our website and Facebook for the latest updates in the “offseason”.

    I have been coming to P&B ever since you started! You’re doing an amazing job!

    There are two questions I’m hoping you can answer. Last season you had a variety in short supply that was delicious – was it perhaps Riverbelle? It was similar to Honeycrisp.

    Also, I love cooking and have made several different types of caramel. Yours is great! Would you be willing to tell me how you make your caramel so light and pourable for lack of a better word? Mine tends to be too thick and viscous. I’d appreciate any tips on your caramel!

    • Hi there, you may be referring to Riverbelle, we only had a small quantity last year. This year we had much more, but it has sold out. Perhaps you would like to try this weekend’s variety, a sister apple to Riverbelle, Organic Pazazz, this is also a Wisconsin born Honeycrisp apple.

      As far as caramel is concerned, you can actually add powdered sugar to change the consistency. If it is too thick, maybe it needs a higher heat?
